Item Description

A RARE and very showy two-sided combination from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. Rhodochrosite is rare from here. One aesthetic face hosts numerous sugary, pastel-pink flattened rhombs, to 1.0 cm, which are embedded on EXTREMELY RARE for the locale pearlescent muscovite plates. There are 1601 minerals photos in the MINDAT Photo Gallery for the locale, but only 1 Muscovite photo. Both species rest on a classic for the locale, brilliant lustre, well-striated, jet-black tabular ferberite crystal. Formerly in the Simone Citon Collection. Ex W.S. Logan Collection #X27-5.
