Item Description

A fine rhodochrosite specimen from the Bob Trimingham Collection and the Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. A striking, highly modified, 1.5 cm, translucent, lustrous, rich rose-red, scalenohedron dominates the sculptural matrix plate covered with numerous smaller rhodos, some doubly terminated. The crystals are not large, but this is an aesthetic and rich two-sided representation of them.
