Item Description
The Sunnyside Mine was a major Gold producer in Colorado history, but it also gave collectors some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens. The best of these specimens are only second in quality and color to the wolrd famous Rhodochrosites from the Sweet Home Mine. This piece hosts attractive, sharp, lustrous, fine quality rhombs of pink colored Rhodochrosite with minor Quartz and sulfides and massive Rhodochrosite matrix forming a lovely small cabinet specimen. The largest Rhodochrosite crystal measures 6 mm across. An eye-catching little specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado from this well known mine in the San Juan Mountains.
