A very rarely seen specimen of Rhodochrosite from Chvaletice in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. This is the first specimen of Rhodochrosite that we've ever had to offer from this locality. If you're a collector of worldwide Rhodochrosite specimens, no collection is complete without one of these elusive pieces. This piece features unusually radial groups of Rhodochrosite with an orange-brown iron oxide coating sitting on a thin layer of host rock matrix. The contacted edges around the periphery show that the Rhodochrosite is a light pink color underneath the iron oxide coated areas. Very few of these exist, and you'd be hard pressed to find another in today's market. From the worldwide Rhodochrosite collection of Dr. William S. Logan (Specimen #X121-6).
