Rhodochrosite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

The Sunnyside mine produced some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens in its history, along with some attractive association pieces. This specimen features rich pink Rhodochrosite rhombohedra which are coated by a layer of softer pink Rhodo. This is actually fairly common for the Sunnyside mine, as many of the crystals have the secondary coating on the exterior, but have strong internal color. From the collection of Brian Kosnar, and hard to find on the market these days.
