Item Description

This mine has produced some very well known Rhodochrosite specimens in its history. This piece hosts attractive, sharp, lustrous, compressed "flower"-like rhombs of pink colored Rhodochrosite on Quartz and sulfide matrix forming a lovely thumbnail specimen. The largest Rhodochrosite crystal measures 7 mm across. An eye-catching little specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado from this well known mine in the San Juan Mountains. Ex Brian Kosnar Collection.
