Rhodochrosite from the Sunnyside mine is one of the staples of any good Colorado or Rhodochrosite collection. In my opinion, this mine is only second to the famous Sweet Home in Colorado as far as the quality of the specimens are concerned. This piece features small, lustrous, attractive, sharp, bright pink colored Rhodochrosite rhombohedra with micro Quartz and sulfides. A good thumbnail sized specimen for any collector of Rhodochrosites or specimens from Colorado. This classic material is rarely seen on the market, and the Sunnyside mine has been closed for many years now.
