When it comes to Rhodochrosite, people think of the Sweet Home Mine, N'Chwaning Mines, the Uchucchacua Mine, but the Rhodochrosites from Santa Eulalia don't get enough credit on the market for their size, quality and beautiful color. This small cabinet piece is features a translucent, orange-red colored, narrow scalenohedral crystal group of Rhodochrosite free of matrix matrix. A "band" of small Quartz crystal can be seen covering the lower portion of the piece. Unfortunately, the termination is cleaved, so the piece is not perfect, but it's still a good sized crystal and a nice representation of this classic and hard to find amterial.
