An elegant 4.4 cm corsage of pretty pastel-pink, lustrous, flattened rhodochrosite rhombs is beautifully set atop matrix on this elegant small cabinet combination from the famous Sunnyside Mine. The striking primary "flower" in the center is 2.5 cm across. I particularly liket the way these very flattened rhombs (an uncommon form) are neatly stacked in the corsage. The rhodos are jauntily perched atop the mounded mixed sulfide and quartz matrix, which is covered with very complementary and typical clusters of tiny quartz points. This very classy rhodo is complete around and pristine, except for the acceptable contact on the end. Ex W.S. Logan Collection and valued at $1500. A classic and most excellent combination example of this uncommon rhodochrosite style from this famed locale.
