Item Description

A 1.6 cm cluster of sharp, rich pastel-pink rhodochrosite rhombs is aesthetically set on the vuggy blocky drusy quartz and quartz matrix on this showy and excellent miniature from this well-known San Juan mine. This extinct Au-Ag-Cu-Zn-Bi-W-Pb-Ba (baryte) mine was intermittently active from 1875 into the 1980s. Ex W.S. Logan Collection # X124-2. Classic San Juan rhodo.
