Sunnyside Mine rhodochrosites are a desirable Colorado classic. This showy and excellent thumbnail features intergrown sharp, lustrous, translucent, pastel-pink flattened rhombs to about 1. cm on a hollow rhodochrosite crust. Contacts on two sides are noted, but there is little actual damage. Highly representative material from this classic mine. The recent Lithographie issue is devoted entirely to minerals of the San Juans. Ex Gerald Herfurth Collection.
