Item Description
A classic and excellent Sunnyside Mine thumbnail rhodochrosite rhomb. The lustrous, translucent, rose-red crystal has frosted faces with nifty, extremely stepped growth. The front appears to be totally pristine and the two cleaved faces on the back are out-of-sight. Highly representative material from this classic mine. A recent Lithographie issue is devoted entirely to minerals of the San Juans. Ex Gerald Herfurth Collection.
