Rhodochrosite from the famous Sunnyside Mine is a Colorado classic and this is a very fine and aesthetic miniature, with the large rhomb dramatically set atop the column of smaller crystals.. The highly lustrous, translucent rhombs have frosted faces and pleasing rose-red color. Complete all-around and pristine. A most excellent older miniature from an advanced collection and comes in a "perky" thumbnail box, invented by dealer/collector Willard Perkin in the late 1950s. Value??
