Item Description
A weird, rare and very showy rhodochrosite specimen from the Wessels Mine. Sparkling, translucent, botryoids of pretty rose-red, rhodo rhombs attractively cover the matrix plate. The striking, dominating large ball is 1.8 cm across and all of the balls are peppered with tiny manganite flakes. The plate is actually banded pastel-pink rhodochrosite. This striking piece reminds me of the famous small find of pink rhodo balls from the N'Chwaning Mine. Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
