Item Description

A striking and very nifty combination specimen from the famous Poudrette Quarry. Three, lustrous, intergrown, rhodochrosite rhombs to 8 mm on the diagonal are beautifully poised on the side of a sharp, snow-white, trapezohedron, analcime crystal. The highly lustrous, jet-black aegirine crystals embedded on all sides of the analcime are a super accent and compliment. The analcime is complete all-around and essentially pristine, with the out of sight contact at the base having no damage, per se. A sheared serandite on the analcime actually adds color to the overall character of this showy and classic combination specimen. Ex George Elling Collection.
