Item Description

A classic specimen of Rhodochrosite from Santa Eulalia. The finest specimens of Rhodochrosite from any locality in Mexico were found at Santa Eulalia, and it's easy to see why. This piece features a group of good sized, gemmy, beautiful reddish-pink colored, scalenohedral crystals free of matrix. A light coating of drusy / sugary Quartz can be seen in select areas. The main termination is in undamaged, but the neighboring crystal is cleaved. Despite the broken crystal, the quality is still good, and this is still a lovely display specimen of this hard to find material. Because these specimens came out years ago, a lot of collectors don't have one in their collections, and if you collect Rhodochrosite, this is a great opportunity to pick up a nice piece for a good price from this prestigious locality.
