Item Description
The various manganese deposits in South Africa has produced some of the most impressive Rhodochrosite specimens with that classic, beautiful red color, but gems are becoming very difficult to obtain these days. With that said, this is one of the better Rhodo gems from South Africa that we've have had to offer from South Africa in a while. The stone is remarkably clean for the material, though small inclusions can be seen, and the color is a beautiful fiery red-orange hue. The stone has a "Pear Brilliant" cut.
