Item Description

A choice, and strikingly rich, specimen of unusual "rhodo-balls" from the Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. Older material seldom seen today in such quality, this cabinet specimen is composed of abundant Rhodochrosite balls spread across the matrix. The sparkly clusters range up to about 3 mm across, and the color varies from a classic pink to more of an orange-pink. This color variation is rather distinctive, and the little bit of sulfides in the matrix add some more visual interest. Aesthetic, older material, probably from 1970s.
