Item Description

These distinctive and eye-catching Chinese Rhodos have appeared on the market a few years ago, and seem to have dried up now. The specimens really remind me of specimens I've seen from various mines in Colorado. If this Rhodo were from the Sweet Home mine, it would be a great treasure for many Colorado collectors. This piece features a sharp, semi lustrous, reddish-pink, flattened rhomobohedron. It's actually crystallized on the back, and not cleaved, and were it not for one tiny nick, the piece would be a complete "floater" with no point of attachment. You really don't see many of these new Rhodos from Wutong available, and the locality has produced little to nothing in the way of specimens in recent years. Good quality and good color for the species from China.
