Item Description

This small cabinet sized display specimen features beautiful soft pink, modified rhombs of Rhodochrosite sitting on Quartz and sulfdes matrix to create a lovely overall piece. The largest rhomb measures 8 mm across. The crystals have a slight "drusy" / "sugary" appearance on the surface. This area is one of the most classic Peruvian mining districts, and colorful specimens like this one do not seem to be nearly as available as they were 15 years ago.
