Item Description

These distinctive and eye-catching Chinese Rhodos have appeared on the market a few years ago, and seem to have dried up now. The specimens really remind me of specimens I've seen from various mines in Colorado. If this Rhodo were from the Sweet Home mine, it would be a great treasure for many Colorado collectors. This piece is a sharp, reddis-pink, flattened rhomobohedron of Rhodochrosite with beautiful internal color and translucency when backlit. You really don't see many of these new Rhodos from Wutong available, so don't pass this one up because the locality has produced little to nothing in the way of specimens in recent years. It's also over 2 inches, which is notable for the species.
