Item Description
Rhodochrosite is among the most popular of species among collectors, and it's a good thing that it's found in so many world localities. Good Mexican Rhodochrosite specimens are few and far between these days, but certainly sought after these days. This piece is a beautiful and striking specimen from the Potosi Mine at Santa Eulalia. Certainly old material, and beautiful for the species. It consists of eye-catching spherical / botryoidal aggregates of sparkly, vivid pink Rhodochrosite blades which line the sculptural vug on a thin matrix. If you're a Rhodo collector, a Mexican mineral collector, or a if you just like colorful display pieces from less common localities, this piece is for you. Valued at $1000.
