Rhodochrosite

Item Description

A cute rosette of two, flattened rhodochrosite rhombs from recent Chinese finds. This translucent and lustrous crystals are rose-red and have frosted, stepped-growth faces. This nifty, two-sided crystal is nicely accented with a couple of quartz crystals. Overall this floater is in great shape. One side is pristine and the other side has only one small cleave on a barely noticeable edge. A highly representative example of the species and locale. The Wutong Mine is now closed and there is little likelyhood, that it will reopen anytime soon. Get one while you can.
