Rhodochrosite

The Rhodos from the Wutong Mine have made a big splash on the market, especially recently when some of the most impressive Rhodochrosite specimens extant were on display in Tucson. These particular specimens with the "rosettes" really remind me of pieces from various mines in Colorado, e.g., the Eagle mine. It features sharp, semi lustrous, pink, flattened rhomobohedra of Rhodochrosite sitting on attractive Quartz crystals on sulfide matrix. You really don't see many of these new Rhodos from Wutong available, so don't pass this one up because the locality has produced little of this particular type of specimens in the recent years.
