Item Description
A nifty and aesthetic Uchucchacua miniature with two generations of rhodochrosite. A jauntily set cluster of three intergrown, lightly frosted, cherry-red scalenohedrons is strikingly accented by the rich carpet of sparkly, tiny, rose-red, rhombs on the gossan matrix plate. Two of the crystals are doubly terminated, to 2.2 cm, and pristine. The third crystal has a cleaved tip. They GLOW when backlit. Very showy, excellent and uncommon material from a locality where little new material has come forth recently. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired from the Mike Gorges Collection.
