Rhodochrosite rhombs are RARE from the famous N'Chwaning I Mine, renowned for the world's finest scalenohedrons. This exceptional rarity is from the 1976/77 pocket, that predates the famous finds of scalenohedrons in the late 1970s. Sparkly gemmy and lustrous rose-red rhombs cover the manganite rmatrix. The striking large tabular rhomb with nifty side car is 9 mm. Value of such a fine rarity?? We feel $1200-1500.
