Rhodochrosite (1938 - RARE Georgia)

Item Description

Rhodochrosite is EXTREMELY RARE from any of the four Georgia localities listed by MINDAT. A 4 mm on the diagonal euhedral rhomb along the crest and larger rhomb fragments to 1.1 cm of rose-pink rhodochrosite are scatttered on both sides and the crest of this RARE old-timer from this obscure manganese mine. A cloth label with a December, 1938 date is glued to the back. Comes with a label from respected Georgia dealer, collector and author Beau Gordon (Jendon Minerals). A MUST for the species or Georgia collector!
