Item Description

A beautiful pair of gemmy and lustrous, bright cherry-red to orange-red rhodochrosite scalenohedrons from the famous late-1970s/ early 80s finds at the N'Chwaning II Mine. These crystals have flat-topped terminations and the backside is sprinkled with manganite flakes, which add character. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, one side is contacted/cleaved, but you can barely tell, except by close examination. The color, luster and gemminess are first class on this classy thumbnail.
