Fine old Silverton rhodochrosites are rare and seldom seen for sale—and this specimen is a standout! Featuring large, very sharp rhombs with excellent color, this piece IS A FLOATER: COMPLETE ALLA ROUND AND SEEMS TO HAVE FORMED SOMEHOW IN A VOID, FREE OF MATRIX. This miniature exemplifies the best of what this mine has to offer. The lustrous rhombs display a very pretty rose-pink hue with a dramatic shape, making this a classic and excellent example of Colorado rhodochrosite but the shape overall is beautiful - a rare find!
