Item Description

Multi-hued rich cherry-red to rose-red, translucent, bubbly botryoids richly and attractively cover the front of the hefty blocky matix on this showy and colorful small cabinet from Kazakhstan. The noted bruising on the left is certainly only a modest detraction to this highly representative example. This Soviet-era Fe-Mn-(Pb-Zn-Ba) deposit produced these typically botryoidal specimens in the 1980s and 1990s, with none since. Rich colors, when backlit. Ex Dr. Vasco Trancoso Collection.
