Item Description
Rhodizite is an ultra-rare complex Be-borate, the potassium analogue of londonite and is a member of the Londonite-Rhodizite Series. Outside of Madagascar, specimens are found at only three other worldwide localities. Specimens from Madagascar without analysis should be labelled as Londonite-Rhodizite Series. Rhodizite is a rare gem mineral and is highly sought after by gem and mineral collectors alike. A 1.2 cm, sharp, lustrous, translucent, straw-yellow, dodecahedron is aesthetically set on matrix. A fine rarity for any collector of smaller minerals. Moderate straw-yellow fluorescence. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and valued by Herb at $450, over five years ago. Value is up, as no more have been forthcoming.
