Item Description
This is a rare, strange variety of thin, reddish rutile that has crystallized in twinned sprays, oriented on the surfaces of siderite crystals. For reasons we are unclear about, it was once called by its own local name, Sagenite. This is absolutely classic for this locality, and was collected decades ago because we know it has been in storage since the late 1980s. This is from the miniatures suite of the BIll Panczner collection.
