Item Description
Remondite (specifically Remondite-(Ce)) is a very hard to find rare-earth carbonate that's only been reported from a few localities around the world. The famous Poudrette Quarry at Mont Saint-Hilaire, Canada has given collectors the best specimens and rarely some fine little gems of this incredibly rare mineral. Typically Remondite is a dull beige color, so when you get strong yellow colored stones like this, it's a real treat. This custom "Trapezoid" cut gem is nearly eye clean with an intense golden-yellow hue. It's paired up with a somewhat non-descript piece of rough, but the stone is what really matters here. Gems of this material are nearly impossible to find on the market, and will become even more difficult to find since the locality is now closed to collectors. If you collect rare gems, you NEED a stone of Remondite in your collection.
