Item Description

A beautiful, gemmy and lustrous, "red-tip", bi-colored tourmaline from the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The translucent, strawberry-red, complex pyramidal termination with embedded lepidolite grades downward to a gemmy, lime-green to bottle-green at the base. The backlit photos highlight the gorgeous color saturations. The crystal is in great condition, with the jauntily angled sidecar crystal having both ends broken. This remains an excellent example of these very colorful and highly desirable polychrome tourmalines and is classic, old, 1960s-1970s material from this renowned locale. 33 grams.
