Red Quartz with Chalcopyrite

This is nearly as red as Quartz can get. Obviously the crystals are included with Hematite (or some other kind of iron oxide) as I have seen from any locality, and the effect is dazzling. The Quartzes, are actually white/colorless, but the coating is what really makes the impact. Associated Chalcopyrites (some of which are also oxidized have turned nearly black) and white Dolomite rhombs make for a great association.. The Daye area in China is now these specimens again, and I'm happy to see them on the market. I honestly have never seen Quartz crystals with such impactful strong red color as this, especially with good luster. The piece is in great shape for the size, as most of the crystals are undamaged.
