Dalnegorsk red quartz specimens are among the most colorful and desirable quartz varietals in the world and this is a dramatic and excellent large example. Intergrown jackstraw clusters of translucent, reddish-orange, oxide-tinted, quartz points form a striking, elongated specimen. Fragments of sphalerite crystals form the matrix on this sculptural and outstanding piece. Rare in this size and quality. These came out very sporadically and in limited quantity in the 1990s and early 2000s. Valued at $1000.
