Item Description

A GEM of a deal of two bi-colored, red gem tourmaline from the recent January, 2011 find at the famous Cruzeiro Mine! The limpid bodies are a pleasing cranberry-pink (thumbnail) and vivid pink (miniature). The complex pinacoidal terminations are cranberry-red, like famous Jonas Mine tourmalines. The thumbnail termination also has inclusions of lighter pink tourmaline. The taller crystal is complete all-around, with a light bruise to a termination edge and a broken tip to the side car crystal. The thumbnail is pristine gem, has a gem nodule at the base and is cutter quality. Red tourmalines have always been very highly desirable and here is your chance to get a PAIR of real beauties from a brand-new find. 53.71 carats total mass or over 10 grams. 36.68 carats (thumbnail) and 17.03 carats (miniature). This was ONE pocket. This is an excellent bi-colored PAIR from this find and should not sell cheaply.
