A stunning, bi-colored, red gem tourmaline from the recent January, 2011 find at the famous Cruzeiro Mine! The limpid body is a pleasing cranberry-pink and the complex pinacoidal termination is cranberry-red, just like famous Jonas Mine tourmalines. The termination also has inclusions of lighter pink tourmaline and unlike most of the crystals in this lot, the back is covered with a multitude of tiny, light pink tourmalines. Complete all-around and pristine. The crystal is so gemmy and it really glows, when backlit and there is a gem nodule at the base. Red tourmalines have always been very highly desirable and here is your chance to get a real beauty from a brand-new find. 40.12 carats or just over 8 grams. This was ONE pocket.
