Item Description

A stunning, 4.9 cm, bi-colored, red gem tourmaline from an early-January, 2015 find at the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The elbaite is dramatically set in the lavender lepidolite matrix. The mostly gemmy to translucent, luscious body is a pleasing cranberry-red, like famous Jonas Mine tourmalines. The body also has inclusions of lighter pink tourmaline. Complete all-around. The termination and side car termination are broken, but this remains a striking and excellent example of the new find. The crystal really glows, when backlit. Red tourmalines have always been very highly desirable and here is your chance to get a real beauty. This was ONE pocket. The color is GORGEOUS.
