A gorgeous, RARE, bi-colored, red gem tourmaline from an early-January, 2015 find at the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The gemmy/translucent, luscious body is a pleasing cranberry-red, like famous Jonas Mine tourmalines. The highly lustrous, lightly scalloped, pinacoidal termination is dark cranberry-red AND is included with rare for the locale, golden muscovite plates. The body also has inclusions of lighter pink tourmaline. Complete all-around and in good shape. The back termination edge is lightly bruised. A trivial bit of edge wear and contacting at the base are noted, but have very minimal impact to the high quality of this wonderful crystal. The crystal really glows, when backlit. Red tourmalines have always been very highly desirable and here is your chance to get a real RARE beauty. 26 grams mass or 130 carats. This was ONE pocket. The color is AMAZING.
