Item Description
An old-time, stunning, bi-colored, red gem tourmaline from the famous Cruzeiro Mine! The crystal is very glassy, lustrous and is well-striated. The veiled body is a pleasing cranberry-pink and the broken and healed gem termination area is a gorgeous cranberry-red, like famous Jonas Mine tourmalines. Complete all-around and pristine. Red tourmalines have always been very highly desirable and here is your chance to get a real beauty from the 1960s to early 80s finds. 19.43 carats or nearly 4 grams mass. Ex Kay Robertson Collection with no collection number. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record).
