Item Description
Red beryl crystals of this LARGE size are rare and desirable (it weighs 28.5 carats). Although included by rhyolite matrix, as is common in larger crystals, this piece shows exceptional form for the size, and displays well in a collection of generally larger beryls or gem crystals. The Wah Wah Mountains are the only place on the planet to find such crystals and it is, for all rational intents, defunct now. Most of the crystal is included with rhyolite "sand", but beautiful and rich raspberry-red gemmy sections are noted on the crystal, which REALLY adds pizzazz. Highly representative large red beryl from the renowned locale. Specimens in this size are 1 in 1000, and now impossible to obtain on the market in any condition, it seems.
