Item Description
Red beryl is certainly among the most recognizable, desirable and rarest of minerals from the Western United States. This beryl variety is one of the great combinations of rarity and beauty in the mineral world. The classic gooseberry color crystals have attracted collectors for years, and are now in short supply and high demand. This piece features about 20, translucent, sharp, lustrous, hexagonal prismatic crystals measuring up to 4 mm aesthetically aesthetically clustered on rhyolite matrix. They are not large but the quality is good and the fact that the crystals are on matrix is notable. As I said, it is becoming very difficult to obtain any good specimens of red beryl on the market these days, and this piece will more than likely end up being a great bargain for somebody. Enjoy!
