Item Description

A really aesthetic matrix red beryl from the Wah Wahs, from the defunct locality here for "red emeralds". A 1.1 cm, gorgeous, gemmy and lustrous red beryl crystal is elegantly set in starkly contrasting rhyolite matrix on this outstanding thumbnail. The terminated crystal has fine gemmy sections, high luster and classic violet-red color. A bit of included rhyolite is noted. This is a classic example of the rarest of beryl species. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet. This very fine thumb is intense, sharp, and complete. Valued $1200-1500. MUCH, MUCH BETTER PERSON!!!
