Item Description
A 1.1 x 0.9 x 0.8 cm red beryl crystal is eleganted perched on the well-prepared rhyolite matrix on this classy thumbnail. The crystal has high luster and gorgeous violet-red color. Portions of the crystal are gemmy and portions have embedded rhyolite, including the termination. Periphery wear is noted on a front termination edge, with more on the out-of-sight back of the crystal. This remains a highly representative matrix thumbnail of the rarest of beryl species. There has been very little recent production from this famous locale. In fact, almost none. And there will never be much more, I would bet. This showy thumbnail is intense, sharp and aesthetic.
