Item Description

Red Beryl is one of the great rarities in the gem world. It has an added allure in the US market, as the demand for stones from this country has increased significantly in recent years. We've had a good number of people asking us for US gems, e.g., Benitoite from California, Sapphire from Montana, Rhodochrosite from Colorado, Hiddenite from North Carolina and Red Beryl from Utah. The nature of the material often yields small stones, but this is accepted by collectors. Here we have an attractive 3-stone set of "Pear Cabochon" cut gems with a pinkish-red hue, and while they are not completely transparent, they are still translucent and certainly pass light. The stones total 1.07 carats in weight, and the largest gem measures 7.01 mm x 4.73 mm while the smallest stone measures 4.68 mm x 3.64 mm for reference. A great opportunity to pick up a hard to find trio of these highly sought after gems from the only place in the world where they are found in any significant quantity.
