Item Description
A 2.2 cm, gemmy and lustrous, raspberrry-red, beryl crystal aesthetically set on starkly contrasting porphry matrix from the famed Wah Wah Mountains of Utah. This is the only place on the planet to find such crystals and it is, for all rational intents, defunct now. This is a fairly large, complex, doubly terminated crystal, which is very minimally impacted by the light contacting (attached bits of matrix embedded) and trivial termination edgewear. The angled sidecar crystal really adds character to this specimen. This is a classic, highly desirable and LARGE crystal from this renowned locale - and such usually cost over $2000 in this size, included and repaired or not. This excellent piece has multiple display possibilities, as you can see. It has a choice color, and is definitely one respectable enough to have a large red beryl and be proud of owning, without breaking the bank to get it. Valued $1500-1800
