This less well-known small Hg, As, Sb mine and the famous Getchell Mine of Nevada have produced arguably the finest US realgar specimens. Bright cherry-red realgar crystals, to about 6 mm, are attractively clustered and scattered on the dramatic, large and sculptural granular quartz matrix, with some straw-yellow calcite. Some of the crystals are altering to orange orpiment. This excellent large rarity has numerous fine display views. Specimens are seldom on the market and this is an impressive large example.
