Bright, lustrous, translucent to gemmy, blood-red, realgar crystals are pleasingly festooned on the quartz matrix covered with quartz points on this very colorful and most excellent specimen from the famous and ancient mines at Cavnic. There are many more quartz crystals on the back. Exceptionally fine, uncommon, rich and aesthetic combination material from this historic locale. Ex Giancarlo Fioravanti Collection and purchased in Zurich in 1972 for 200 Swiss francs.
