Item Description
A very showy and aesthetic combination specimen from the famous Shimen Mine of China. Gemmy, cherry-red, realgar crystals are very jauntily clustered on translucent and lustrous, gray, doubly terminated calcite scalenohedrons. Interestingly, both DT calcites are included with realgar and the calcites have preferentially glassy faces and frosted faces. This very fine combination cutie is in great shape. The two large DT calcites are pristine, except for the contact on one face of the large crystal, with has no damage, per se. Broken realgar crystals are noted, but have very little impact on the striking visual aspect of this beautiful piece. A very choice combination example of the species and locale.
